I have been Dr. Shimizu's patient for over six years. I visited a lot of different dentists before I decided that Dr. Shimizu is the only dentist I will visit, ever again. I wouldn’t hesitate giving 10 stars if I could, for Dr. Shimizu and his amazing team. I travel over one hour from the Woodlands to get to his office but it is absolutely worth it. Everyone in his team is so friendly and welcoming. Every time I come to Dr. Shimizu's office I feel more like a friend than a patient. Dr. Shimizu is a great dentist who always gives you honest advice. My husband used to have a different dentist who would want to drill healthy teeth and offer expensive unnecessary dental procedures every 6 months. A few years ago he came to Dr. Shimizu for second opinion and since then, became his happy patient as well. Dr. Shimizu is not only wonderful as a general dentist but he is a true artist as cosmetic dentist. He is one of only six dentists in Houston who has achieved prestigious accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Shimizu gave me a smile that I could only dream about. I get tons of compliments on how beautiful my teeth are. I have never felt this confident about my smile. Not only all my teeth feel very comfortable but my gums are a lot healthier now too. His talent and experience create healthy teeth and beautiful smiles in an environment with amazing service through every step of the process.

He is attentive, answers my questions and needs quickly and thoughtfully, and suggests the best solution to my dental problems. Unlike other dentists, he is not pushy about dental treatment.😊

Dr Shimizu is an excellent dentist and very thoughtful of his patients’’ time. He doesn’t oversell and focuses more in helping them take better care of dental hygiene. He has been our dentist for decades. He also has an excellent staff, cheerful and competent. Over time, they know you and make you feel welcome.

I suffered for months after my PREVIOUS dentist replaced a front cap on a tooth that had been capped since childhood and put a new cap on my other front tooth. That is when TMJ problems began due to poor tooth alignment from this dental work. It was painful. This went on for months through multiple "adjustmenrs" of the alignment. Finally I went to Dr Shimizu. One visit and he adjusted the bite perfectly! No more suffering! II highly recommend his professionalism to everyone, whether fir family, restorative or cosmetic dentistry. His lab is state of the art with the ability to actually generate a 3D CT scan of the jaw and teeth and bone structure of the mouth!! I HIGHLY recommend Dr Shimizu!!

Several of my teeth had been broken, and Dr. Shimizu did an excellent job of putting on veneer/caps. They look natural and I can smile again as I used to. He took plenty of time to explain the procedure, the time it would take, and the cost very clearly. I am very pleased with what he did and the end result..

Dr. Shimizu did wonder to my peg tooth. He and his technician was able to match that 1 particular tooth to the rest of my teeth, giving it such a natural look not even my mom could tell which one I had work done on. Highly recommend this doctor for veneer and cosmetic dentistry work.
