Last time I posted a review regarding my initial visits to Dr. Shimizu. Since then I have been a patient for a few years and had done various procedures with the office. I’d like to share more of my experiences. I have done my implant and redo additional crowns and I am so happy with them. The crowns matched the color of other teeth, look beautifully done and felt stable. I wish I came to Dr. Shimizu for my first crown. I had to live with a bad crown for eight to ten years. (I had a bad previous experience where I was scared to bite down on the crown because it felt so unstable). I also love how gentle and careful he is when he does the procedures. I usually choose the best mechanic for the cars, the best people for the house…etc but when it comes to the doctors, I wish I spent more time in research the best doctors. It would saved so much pain and suffering. Another thing I really appreciated about Dr. Shimizu is that he does not do unnecessary procedures. For example, one time I had pain and abscess in my gum. When I called the office, they were willing to take me in right away. I was so sure I had to do some draining or be on antibiotics but he determined that I didn’t have to. The abscess went away on its own after one or two days. He will try the least invasive first rather than jumping into unnecessary expensive procedures. Even though I work in healthcare, there are many things I don’t know enough to ask my dentists. I appreciated it that he will check my teeth and let me know about preventative care and how to avoid potential future problems. I’m grateful because as patients we don’t know enough to ask for ourselves. And it saved you so much headaches and money in the future. I’m at work writing this review on my break because it is overdue. I just feel so grateful to have a dentist that cared about patients and is an expert in general dentistry; as well as an artist in cosmetic dentistry. The review is long already so I have to stop. My experience with Houston Cosmetic Dentistry office was very good. I was able to come in for an emergency right away, the staff are very helpful and maintain a excellent service and attitude. All of the nurses and staffs along with Dr Ned Shimizu himself do a very thorough and complete job whether it is doing a test or looking for the cause of a particular problem. I searched a long time before picking a cosmetic dentist and I couldn't be happier with the work Dr. Shimizu did. The man is a perfectionist and it shows. My smile is exactly how I wanted it - natural looking and flawless.

When we had troubles with teeth, we were patient until we visit Japan. But we have a wonderful dentist in Houston. De.Shimizu is very gentle, smart and thoughtful. Before starting a treatment, he has suggested some treatment policy, options and spoken about medical bills honestly and never never forced me to expensive treatment. My kid enjoyed visiting here because all of staffs, especially front desk’s staffs were very sweet to kids. They were always smiling seemed they like to work with Dr.Shimizu. I’ve never met such a humble dentist. Thanks to him, we can survive in Houston at ease. I really appreciate y’all and do recommend Dr.Shimizu!

Since I got a new crown from other dentist on my back tooth, I had Jaw problems and may back hurts and I felt the bite was not right. Dr. Shimizu examined my bite and adjusted in one appointment. On the same day, all the jaw discomfort and back pain  went away. Thank you, Dr. Shimizu.
